The 8100 has been developed specifically for the removal of the DPF fuel vapouriser injector (Ford OE number 1940311) retaining nut on the Ford Transit Custom where access is very restricted. It is recommended that the 8100 is used with the Laser 4590 hand impact wrench. The 22mm fuel vapouriser is used across the Ford diesel range, but not all have such poor access as the Transit Custom models. Where access permits, this spanner can also be used with 1/2" drive ratchet. NOTE: Vacuum test the vapouriser using Laser Part No. 3752 or similar -if the vaporiser holds a vacuum, it is blocked.

  • Super slim fit for access; 22mm across the flats, 6 point crows foot with 1/2" drive.
  • Applications include: Ford 1.6, 2.0 and 2.2L Duratorq TDCi engines from 2012 onwards (EURO 6 engines).
  • Vapouriser failure is often indicated by ECU fault codes P244C or P26A1.
  • For best results use with Laser 1/2"D hand impact wrench (Part No. 4590).
  • Made in Sheffield.
